The project is a joint venture between Innowind – a subsidiary of EDF Energies Nouvelles, the Industrial Development Corporation and broad-based black economic-empowerment company Chaba Winds of Change.

Project Description
The project involves the construction of a seven-turbine wind farm, with a capacity of 21 MW in the Great Kei municipality.

The wind farm will be connected to State-owned power utility Eskom’s Chaba substation through dedicated 22 kV cables.
