Calibre appoints new senior VP, CFO
Gold miner Calibre Mining Corp has appointed David Splett as senior VP (SVP) and CFO, effective November 29.
“I am delighted to welcome David Splett to the Calibre team as SVP and CFO. David’s demonstrated leadership in both C-suite and operational roles will strengthen our executive team as we continue our journey of becoming a multi-jurisdictional quality midtier gold producer,” says Calibre president and CEO Darren Hall.
Splett has 30 years of international experience and a demonstrated record of success in financial and operational roles spanning base and precious metals, industrial minerals and oil and gas.
Prior to joining Calibre, he was the CFO of Elevation Gold. He has also held the positions of CFO Latin America at Goldcorp, Finance VP at Mosaic, CFO at Minera Panama and CFO at Antamina.
Splett has degrees in economics and administration, along with a Master’s degree in Operations Research and an MBA. He is a Certified Public Accountant.
