Aim-listed Bushveld Minerals said last week that it expected the pre- feasibility study (PFS) for its Bushveld PQ iron-ore project to be completed during the 2015 calendar year.

This study had previously been expected to be completed during the first quarter of this year.

The company also stated that the P-Q Zone phosphate scoping and prefeasibility studies were now expected to be completed during the fourth quarter of this year and during 2015 respectively.

“In support of transparent disclosure to all stakeholders, we provide these new target dates for communicating key upcoming developments across our project platforms, based on operational progress during the last six months.

“While there are delays expected, they result from factors beyond the control of the company, or the need to incorporate recent developments in the project, such as the potential acquisition of the Zaaiplaats tailings project,” Bushveld Minerals CEO Fortune Mojapelo said.

The company also last week delayed the date for the completion of the due diligence of the Zaaiplaats tailings project to August, as opposed to the last stated date of June 30.

Further, the Bushveld vanadium project’s scoping study was now expected to be completed during the third quarter of this year, while the PFS would be completed during 2015.

The Mokopane tin project’s scoping study was targeted for completion during the third quarter of the year, while the Marble Hall scoping study was expected to be completed during 2015.
