Denel Aerostructures deputy CEO Victor Xaba has been seconded to serve as acting CEO of South African Express (SA Express), effective April 10.

This follows extensive consultations between the boards of Denel and SA Express, as well as the Department of Public Enterprises, and has the support of Public Enterprises Minister Lynne Brown.

Xaba succeeds former SA Express CEO Inati Ntshanga, who left on March 31.

“As part of the executive management team at Denel, Xaba was instrumental in positioning Denel as a leader in the African aerospace industry, and will now apply that knowledge to SA Express,” Brown said in a statement on Monday.

Xaba has served in various management capacities over the past 17 years.
