Multidisciplinary infrastructure engineering company Bosch Stemele on Wednesday announced the appointment of Danai Magugumela as MD, replacing former MD Max Stemele who was retiring.

Stemele, who had been steering the company since 1998 said he was confident that Magugumela and her team would continue to build on the legacy of the “Bosch way” while progressing the company’s empowerment and transformation initiatives.

Magugumela said her long-term goal for Bosch Stemele was to move the company to be first-in-class among South African-owned firms.

“We are excited to have Magugumela as part of the Bosch family and her leadership skills, experience and record will not only add significant value to the Bosch Stemele team, but she will also play a vital role in shaping the destiny of the Bosch Holdings group of companies,” Bosch Holdings CEO Mike Gibbon commented.

Meanwhile, Stemele would continue as a director of the company until August 31 and, thereafter, as a nonexecutive director of Bosch Stemele as well as Bosch Holdings.
