Aim-listed Bluejay Mining is waiting for the Greenland Ministry of Mineral Resources to finalise how stakeholder consultation will work going forward, considering challenges brought on by Covid-19.

Bluejay has to undertake these alternative methods of handling and delivering the stakeholder consultation process, prior to submitting an exploitation licence application for the Dundas ilmenite project.

The company says the Ministry has advised that the Dundas public consultation process will be tabled at a Ministerial meeting on June 18.

Once the stakeholder consultation process is complete, usually within eight weeks, all responses and company comments will be compiled into a white book, which will be presented to government before it decides on awarding an exploitation licence for the project.

Meanwhile, Bluejay is also focusing on securing an offtake partner and starting commercial production at Dundas in the near term, to fund further exploration and future acquisitions.

Bluejay holds three additional projects in Greenland, as well as a 100% interest in a portfolio of copper, zinc and nickel projects in Finland.
