A gripping and emotional story of a murdered mother who watches from the heavens as her daughter moves in with her aunt's secretive family.

About the book:

"Something has gone wrong with my dying."

Sally always thought that when the moment came, she'd follow the light or join the stars or whatever it is that’s supposed to happen. But she has been dead for three sunrises, and she is still here.

She goes higher; high enough to see where the layer of blue at the top of the world turns into black, but nothing changes. Until, at last, her daughter enters the story...

Powerful and gripping with a touch of magic, Black Dog Summer for anyone who loved The Lovely Bones or The Time Traveller's Wife.

About the author:

Miranda Sherry was seven when she began writing stories. She then had a number of strange jobs, including puppeteer, bartender and musician, before becoming a full-time writer. She lives in Johannesburg with the love of her life and two weird cats.

Black Dog Summer is published by Head of Zeus
