After leading the Gordon Institute of Business Science (Gibs) for more than ten years, Professor Nick Binedell has stepped down from his role as dean, the University of Pretoria said in a statement on Thursday.

Binedell, who had been with Gibs since inception in 2000, would remain with the business school as a professor.

A process to appoint a new dean would be initiated in due course, with Binedell remaining at the helm until the recruitment process was finalised and the handover was completed to his identified successor.
