The Beverage Association of South Africa (BevSA) has appointed Mpho Thothela GM for corporate services, effective August 1.

Thothela will be responsible for BevSA’s marketing and communications, brand positioning and reputational management, financial management, revenue growth, budget management, information technology and related functions, including support services.

Thothela previously served as membership, legal and compliance chief officer and secretary at Proudly South African. He is also a former director of corporate affairs at Muhari Logistics.

“With Thothela’s knowledge and unique skillset in understanding the laws governing the country, he will help BevSA in its vision to develop a thriving business environment for the South African nonalcoholic beverage sector,” commented BevSA executive director Mapule Ncanywa.
