Project Description
The project is part of an interim liquefied natural gas- (LNG-) to-power ‘bridge’ solution, and is the first ever power plant gas conversion in Senegal.
The plant currently operates on heavy fuel oil.
The project will convert the 90 MW Bel-Air power plant to operate on LNG.
The plant’s six existing engines will be converted to six dual-fuel engines, which allows for the use of multiple fuels, providing the option to operate on gas with liquid fuels as backup.
