The Barbers Point and Kahana projects will be located on the Island of Oahu and on the Island of Maui, in Hawaii, respectively.

Project Description
The project involves the construction of two solar and battery energy storage facilities.

The Barbers Point solar project is a 15 MW facility, with four hours (60 MWh) of battery energy storage, while the Kahana solar project is a 20 MW facility with four hours (80 MWh) of battery energy storage.

Latest Developments
Innergex signed two long-term power purchase agreements (PPAs) with the Hawaiian Electric Company in September 2020.

The two 25-year PPAs are for dispatchable energy, enabling Hawaiian Electric to dispatch the facilities as they deem appropriate to maintain grid stability and maximise renewable-energy use on Oahu and Maui.
