Company Announcement - The annual Institute of Risk Management South Africa Awards programme acknowledges and celebrates excellence within the risk management sector nationally, and gives recognition to professionals who have made a significant contribution to the industry. This year, Aurecon continued to build on its previous successes at the prestigious IRMSA Gala Dinner and Awards ceremony that was held on 30 October at the Gallagher Convention Centre, Midrand.

Aurecon was the proud recipient of the accolade for Best Risk Consultancy in the ‘Consulting Services’ category. This achievement marks Aurecon’s third consecutive successful year at the awards, after winning the same award in 2014 and being named the winner in the ‘Environmental Initiative’ category as well as runner-up in the ‘Mining, Resources, Construction and Engineering’ category in 2013.

“Our success at the 2015 IRMSA Awards demonstrates the company’s ability to provide extensive and innovative professional support services and solutions to the numerous multifaceted operational and project risks our clients encounter. “It further highlights Aurecon’s exceptional capability in Risk & Decision Analytics,” says Dr Elretha Louw, Aurecon Service Leader: Risk Management. “Aurecon’s recognition by IRMSA as the best risk consultancy amongst South Africa’s industry leaders is truly an honour. Being awarded this accolade for a second consecutive year is indicative of Aurecon’s Risk Management team consistently implementing leading risk innovation and service offerings. I am very proud of my team for delivering exceptional value on capital and infrastructure projects,” says Simon van Wyk, Associate: Risk & Decision Analytics, Aurecon.

Concluding, van Wyk adds, "This is a team accolade which reaffirms how team synergy and professionalism meet to produce leading risk analytics that ensures critical decision making is based on a robust and defendable level of analysis."
