Construction company Aurecon has appointed Ferdi Nell MD of its Africa operations, effective January 1.

He will succeed retiring Albert Geldenhuys, who will remain at the helm until June to support Nell in his new position.

Prior to the appointment, Nell served as Aurecon’s Cape Town delivery centre manager, with over three decades’ experience.

Nell is a professionally registered electrical engineer whose experience record encompasses power system planning, network master planning, electrification design and refurbishment planning, as well as programme and project management.

Aurecon CEO Giam Swiegers notes that the key change to the company’s structure will position Aurecon to continue to innovate within the Africa region to ensure the service it offers its clients is highly competitive.
