Project Description
The project comprises the construction and operation of a 38.6 MWdc (30 MWac) greenfield photovoltaic (PV) power plant covering an area of 100 ha. It will be located 10 km from La Paz, in Baja California Sur.
It will include the construction of a 2.8-km-long transmission line.
Value
The project is estimated at $100-million.
Duration
Construction is expected to take eight months and is expected to be commissioned by August 2013.

According to the International Finance Corporation, the project will be constructed and operated under an engineering procurement and construction contract with an experienced international company.
