“The QES range of mobile generators present the most practical Predictable Power choice currently available on the market,” according to Atlas Copco Construction Technique’s Portable Energy Business Line Manager, David Stanford.

These high performing, efficient and tough generators from Atlas Copco Portable Energy seamlessly deliver power no matter how stringent the conditions. Specially designed and engineered with customers’ requirements for performance, efficiency, reliability, safety and convenience in mind, these machines perfectly fit the balance between performance and affordability.

The range has been extended from 9 to 200kVA and now comprises 11 models to meet the standby power requirements of the general construction and rental industries, with further extensions planned for the range

Power may be needed anywhere on a work site so first and foremost is the generator’s mobile capabilities. Integrated forklift slots and a lifting beam facilitate lifting while a purpose built site or road trailer (options available from Atlas Copco) ensures easy and safe transport of the generator to wherever it is needed on the job site. Furthermore, two generators can be stacked one on top of each other which not only requires less storage but also makes it possible to move two units simultaneously.

The QES delivers a plug and play solution for optimum customer convenience. The generators feature an easy to use QC controller with independent control and power panels and can also be started remotely. From a cold start, only two clicks are required to power and full stable power is reached in a short six seconds.

The QES generators above 40KVA  are equipped with John Deere engines. Renowned for their power, reliability, robustness and efficiency, the low exhaust gas emissions of these power trains assist customers with reducing their carbon footprint.

“Because there can be no compromise when it comes to reliability, the generators are engineered and not assembled to ensure that the entire design of our machines and their every component is focused on quality and durability,” affirms Stanford. “The QES was developed using our extensive experience built over many years in global construction environments. The machines have undergone comprehensive testing for sustainable performance, including full testing in the development stage, endurance and field testing.”

Superior quality components contribute to extended generator lifecycle and subsequent improved uptime and reduce maintenance costs; the fitment of dual stage heavy-duty air and fuel filters doubles engine life. The rugged galvanised steel enclosure provides protection against tough environmental elements. “The canopy version can withstand corrosion for up to ten years,’ adds Stanford.

QES range again steps up to the mark when it comes to operational efficiency and maintenance. Fitted with larger capacity fuel tanks, the QES generators can run for a full eight hours shift up to 400 hours of granted autonomy at full load before requiring refueling, depending on the fuel tank configuration. The externally fitted fuel fill cap speeds up the refueling process and there is also an option to connect to an external fuel tank.

The generators are easy to use and straightforward to maintain. Accessibility to components and spare parts is fast and easy thanks to external drain points and big doors and service plates. Standard features such as a spillage-free frame (110% containment) and a 500 hour service interval with short service routines of under 2 hours help to maximise uptime, production and productivity levels on the job site.

Workmen safety and comfort have also been taken into consideration in the design of the QES range; the steel enclosure enhances noise reduction levels and the machine features a safety earth leakage protection and earth pin.

Portable Energy also offers a quality range of compressors, light towers and pumps. “Underpinned by on-site mobility, quality, reliability, high performance, energy efficiency, easy operation and low maintenance, our complete product portfolio contributes to the sustainable productivity of customers and end-users,” concludes Stanford.
