Canadian gold developer Ascot Resources has announced a leadership change with the appointment of Christopher Park as interim CFO, effective May 15.

Park will succeed CFO Carol Li, who is set to retire from her executive role after eight years with the company. Li will remain with Ascot in an advisory capacity to ensure a smooth transition.

Park, a CPA and CGA, brings more than 25 years of financial experience, including two decades in the mining industry. He has held senior finance roles through multiple project development phases, including during two major mine constructions.

Ascot said Park’s background in both corporate finance and operational execution would be valuable as the company moved into production and continued to build value for shareholders.
