Aquaterra Energy showcases full-service approach at OTC
This article has been supplied.
Showcasing the full-service approach and engineering expertise in offshore structures, riser systems and specialist riser analysis that has earned it a place in the top rankings of the world’s offshore oil and gas engineering providers, Aquaterra Energy will be on stand 2641-D at OTC in Houston, 5th – 8th May.
By providing a complete solution approach, from design through to fabrication and offshore installation, the company has developed an enviable capability, and built a strong track record for innovation in the design of riser systems and rig installable minimum facilities conductor supported platforms. A recent example of its expertise was the development of a fully rig-installable solution for South Atlantic Petroleum Benin S. S. , off the West African coast. The contract was awarded to Aquaterra Energy following a global design competition, and subsea installation of the Sea Swift CSP is due for completion mid-March. The topside installation will be completed in May.
Patrick Phelan, Managing Director of Aquaterra Energy, said: “We are very proud to be responsible for delivering this critical project which encompasses the full scope of our in-house expertise, including design, 3D modelling, procurement, manufacturing, inspection, construction, and installation, with full supervision, commissioning, testing and handover.”
Confirming its riser systems credentials, Aquaterra Energy completed the ‘world’s first’ design and delivery of a 10,000psi rated, 25” OD full bore riser for Apache North Sea Ltd. The high pressure riser system was required to allow three subsea wells to be drilled safely on the Bacchus field from the Rowan Gorilla VII.
Aquaterra Energy’s riser system engineering is underpinned by its specialist riser analysis service, which involves analysts in working closely with clients to deliver the comprehensive analysis that provides the vital insight that adds tangible value to projects from the outset, allowing clients to proceed confidently with design and engineering for drilling.
Regarded by many in the oil and gas industry as the market leader in shallow-water riser analysis and analysis for jack-up and fixed platform conductors, Aquaterra Energy has now extended its analysis service by successfully applying its team’s expertise and experience to deep-water and floating rig drilling challenges. This addition to the company’s analysis capabilities has been facilitated by its team’s growing technical analysis capabilities, as well as the company’s approach and systems.
Phelan concluded: “Aquaterra Energy is a growing force in offshore engineering and we’re looking forward to speaking with OTC visitors about the range and depth of the skills and services offered by our very enthusiastic team.”
Representatives from all sides of the business with many years’ experience of working offshore in diverse and challenging environments in the North Sea, South East Asia, West Africa, Europe and USA, will be on-hand at the show,.
Aquaterra Energy’s stand will showcase its engineering expertise and extensive product and service inventory through an audio-visual display and scale models of its riser systems and innovative conductor supported platform concept, the Sea Swift.
