A new data collection application (app), aimed at providing fast, easy and accurate capturing of health-screening data for businesses, is now available. The app offers a solution for businesses that are required to conduct daily screenings on all employees and visitors, in line with Covid-19 regulations.

Businesses and institutions such as restaurants, fast food outlets, hotels and lodges, bed-and-breakfast establishments, timeshare facilities, resorts, guest houses, self-drive excursions, conference and meeting venues, casinos, hair salons, personal care services, schools and universities are all mandated to keep a daily record of a range of personal and health details of all visitors, employees and delivery persons.

The Safecol Light app is designed to assist businesses in capturing the required health data collected from mandatory screenings, by means of a hygienic, paperless system that is said to be easy to use and that can be scaled to include large amounts of data.

With secure 256-bit client-side encryption and HS256 server-side decryption, developers assure clients that all data is fully secure, adhering to the highest levels of data protection and security guidelines. In addition, data is stored on the cloud, to further maintain confidentially of information.

Key features of the app include:

  • Storage of daily data in a safe and secure place
  • Reduced use of paper-based questionnaires
  • Remote access to reporting and data on a mobile phone or tablet device
  • Improved hygiene and time-saving by reduced use of shared pens and paper and reduced time spent sanitising instruments

  • R300 monthly subscription for up to 100 employees and an unlimited number of visitors
  • Seamless data capturing that is fast, easy and secure
