The project involves the installation of a new delayed coker unit at Esso’s Antwerp refinery to convert heavy, higher sulphur residual oils into transportation fuel products such as marine gas oil and diesel fuel.

The new unit will expand the refinery’s ability to help meet energy needs throughout north-west Europe, despite a challenging industry environment.
