Anglo completes sale of UK construction materials unit

Global miner Anglo American on Wednesday announced the completion of the sale of UK heavy building products supplier Tarmac Building Products to Lafarge Tarmac Holdings.

Lafarge Tarmac Holdings is a 50:50 joint venture comprising Lafarge’s and Anglo American’s construction materials and services businesses in the UK.

The company said the terms of transaction, which was first announced by Anglo on November 14, remained confidential.
