Angle grinders with interchangeable accessories

3rd September 2019

A new range of angle grinders for grinding metal or cutting wood and plastics has been made available to the South African market.

A key feature of the range is the speed and ease at which attachments can be changed. Grinder accessories can be changed with one click and without any loose parts or additional mounting equipment.

The range of Bosch angle grinders from RS Components includes the cordless GWX18 and the corded GWX 9 series.

The two-piece X-LOCK changing system facilitates quick accessory changes with only a low level of force required, even if a disc has jammed.

The system promises reliability and safety, with features such as unique mounting placement. This means that directional accessories, such as diamond discs, cannot be mounted incorrectly. In addition, the active-response system means that users can feel and hear an audible 'click', giving the assurance that the chosen accessory is firmly secured to the tool.

The tools are able to flat grind without marking or scratching surfaces, reducing the need for surfaces to be reworked and contributing to potentially increased productivity.

The GWX 18 and GWX 9 units are compatible with a range of Bosch accessories. All tools and accessories are available for delivery by RS Components in South Africa and across sub-Saharan Africa.
