Project Description
Envisaged is the four-stage development of an integrated ammonia-urea fertiliser plant on an undeveloped site in Parcel F of the designated Free Trade Zone at Mandji Island.

The four stages will include Phase 1 – site clearance and temporary access road construction; Phase 2 – dredging and backfilling; Phase 3 – plant design, construction and commissioning; and Phase 4 – the construction of water pipelines.

The project will occupy about 180 ha and will comprise an ammonia plant producing 2 200 t/d, a urea plant capable of producing 3 850 t/d of granular urea, a jetty for the export of the granular urea, a 56-km-long water pipeline from the Ogooue river and off-site and on-site utility facilities to meet the plant’s requirements for electrical power, steam, water and air.
