Project Description
The project entails the construction of a large-scale ammonia and urea fertiliser production plant. The fertiliser plant will be built in Navoiy, a city in the central region of Uzbekistan. Using Uzbekistan’s abundant natural gas resources as feedstock, the plant will have the capacity to produce 2 000 t/d of ammonia and 1 750 t/d of urea supergranules using state-of-the art technologies and licences from world-leading companies.

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) and Mitsubishi Corporation (MC) have been awarded the contract to build the ammonia and urea fertiliser production plant. MHI will be responsible for fertiliser plant design, manufacture and procurement of equipment, on-site construction work and commissioning. MC, together with Mitsubishi Corporation Machinery, will handle the transportation of plant equipment.
