Project Description
The planned fire station will be built as part of the R21/Albertina Sisulu development corridor.

Jobs to be Created
The project will result in 110 jobs being created for Ekurhuleni residents.

Value
The project is valued at R40-million.

The metro has also set aside an additional R60-million to procure 31 new ambulances and additional firefighting equipment.

Duration
The project will be completed in June 2018.

Latest Developments
Ekurhuleni executive mayor Mzwandile Masina led the ceremonial sod-turning of the new fire station on November 9.
