Alamos promotes two VPs, adds two more
TSX-listed Alamos Gold has announced multiple management appointments to further strengthen its senior leadership team.
The company has appointed James Clark VP of Canada operations, where he will provide strategic, operational and technical leadership across Alamos’ operations in the region.
Clark brings to the position more than 20 years of leadership experience in operations, project development and corporate strategy. His prior work positions include head of mining in North America for Barrick Gold and a number of technical positions at National Bank Financial, Coeur Mining, De Beers Group and Dynatec Mining Services.
In turn, Marcelo Martinez has been appointed VP of the Mexico operations, where Martinez’s 20 years of experience at Agnico Eagle, Goldcorp and Alamos’ predecessor company AuRico Gold will help to advance the group’s projects.
Scott Parsons has been promoted to senior VP of exploration. Since joining Alamos in 2018 and being appointed exploration VP in 2020, Parsons has led value creation through global exploration strategy, Alamos says.
Adrian Pulse has also been promoted to senior VP for IT. Since his joining the company in 2015 and being appointed VP of IT in 2020, Pulse has been pivotal in transforming the company’s global digital landscape into a strategic asset.
Alamos president and CEO John McCluskey says the depth of the company’s management team is integral to its success as the company advances organic growth initiatives and continues progressing towards production of one-million ounces of gold a year by 2030.
Alamos currently has three operations in North America, including Island Gold District and Young-Davidson mine, in Ontario, and the Mulatos District, in Mexico.
