PERTH (miningweekly.com) – ASX- and TSX-listed gold miner Alacer Gold has announced the resignation of its president and COO Howard Stevenson, who has accepted the position of CEO at another company.

Stevenson would remain with Alacer during a transition period, and would assist in finalising the sulfide definitive feasibility study at the Copler project, in Turkey.

Stevenson joined Alacer, then Anatolia Minerals, in June 2009 as VP of corporate development, and was promoted to COO in December that year.

“While we are disappointed to see Stevenson leave Alacer, we are excited for him in his new opportunity as CEO,” said Alacer CEO Rod Antal.
