Established in September last year, industrial cleaning services company Afriveyor helps mines and processing plants to clean up material spillages that occur in areas not accessible with conventional equipment.

Having its own internal safety system that complies to the Occupational Health and Safety Act, the company notes that its heavy- duty industrial vacuum units used for industrial cleaning are safe and more efficient than conventional cleaning equipment.

The company’s main equipment for industrial cleaning includes its 90 kW vacuum truck, other stationary vacuum units, a remote-controlled dozer and remote-controlled vacuum nozzle robot.

Some of the projects that Afriveyor has provided cleaning services for include diversified miner Anglo Platinum’s Amandelbult Concentrator as well as ad hoc work for its Mortimer Smelter.

More recently, the company was involved in the cleaning of dust generated by mining company Petra Diamond’s plant, in Kimberley, from a graveyard site.

Being 100%-owned by industrial vacuum equipment OEM Hencon Vacuum Technologies, Afriveyor aims to offer more value than traditional cleaning companies through constant innovation and development of equipment and processes.

Moreover, Afriveyor is in the process of establishing a black economic-empowerment (BEE) trust that will own 51% of the company making it a level 2 BEE company.
