2023 Mpumalanga green solutions pitch challenge calls for entries
The Mpumalanga Green Cluster Agency has invited innovators and entrepreneurs with economically viable green economy innovation businesses in Mpumalanga to enter the first provincial green solutions pitch challenge
Nonprofit organisation the Mpumalanga Green Cluster Agency, supported by GreenCape in partnership with the UK Partnering for Accelerated Climate Transitions, or PACT, has invited innovators and entrepreneurs with economically viable green economy innovation businesses in Mpumalanga to enter the first provincial green solutions pitch challenge.
Entrepreneurs are invited to enter their green economy pre-venture (ideation, conceptual) or early-stage startup (proof of concept for example pilot project running, looking for first round of seed funding) phase solutions to stand a chance of pitching to a panel of judges at a “shark tank-style” hybrid networking event, to be hosted in Mpumalanga on November 1.
They will have the opportunity to network with potential investors, business incubators, local government decision-makers and green economy experts.
To qualify, the green economy solution needs to be based in Mpumalanga; needs to be either in the pre-venture or early-stage startup phase; and needs to be applicable to one or more of the green economy sectors – renewable energy, sustainable mobility, sustainable agriculture, water and sanitation or the circular economy.

Prizes include a cash prize and in-kind business support.
The winner will be selected by a judging panel on the day of the event.
