1 Week until the 1st Angola Mining Conference & there is still time to register!
The inaugural Angolan Mining Conference & Exhibition will take place in just 1 week and the Angolan president has recently invited foreign industry giants to invest in the country’s economy including the mining sector. The theme of the conference is to “Enhance the National Mining Sector Potential through Investment and Diversification” and is organised by the Ministry of Mineral Resources and Petroleum in association with AME Trade Ltd. We have over 50 confirmed speakers including Government officials, industry stakeholders and key decision makers in the mining and petroleum industry, promising to make this conference an informative and educational platform for the future of Angola mining.
The opening ceremony will start the proceedings where the Ministry and National companies will be signing and overseeing the documentation of some key investment agreements with large international mining companies. Turkey’s Tosyali Group have likewise gained the President’s approval to develop the Kassinga Mining and Steel project and this agreement will also feature in the opening ceremony along with the launch of the 2nd Diamond auction and the presentation of the Saurimo Diamond Development Project Model. AMC 2019 expects to be the platform in which the Ministry will announce further investment agreements regarding the mining industry.
The agreements and presentations support the planned development and diversification of Angolan mining with key sponsors being involved in the conference such as; Endiama, Sonangol, Catoca, Sodiam E.P., EY, Lucapa Diamond Company, Aggreko, Standard Bank, Minbos Resources Limited, Maxam CPEA, Ute Planageo and Pensana Metals.
