Scatec

Scatec is a Norwegian renewable energy company that develops, builds, owns and operates solar, wind and hydropower plants, along with battery storage solutions. Headquartered in Oslo, Scatec operates across multiple continents including Africa, Asia, Europe and South America. The company is listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange and has established a significant presence in emerging markets where it partners with governments, utilities and development finance institutions. Scatec's business model integrates project development, engineering, procurement and construction capabilities with long-term asset ownership and operations. In Africa, Scatec has developed substantial solar generation capacity and has been an active participant in South Africa's Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Procurement Programme (REIPPPP), securing multiple project awards. The company also operates renewable energy projects in Egypt, Mozambique and other African countries. Scatec has expanded into battery energy storage to complement its generation assets and provide grid stability services. The company employs several hundred people globally and manages a portfolio exceeding one gigawatt of installed renewable energy capacity.
