“New on the block” South African, 100% women owned company, Pinpoint Stewards, is making it their mission to highlight new and upcoming talent within South Africa’s borders - with the help of media partner Engineering News and industry association WiMSA.

“We can be proud of our local talent and associations led by women and the line-up of speakers is proof that we have exceptional leaders within our borders,” says co-owner Sudhira Sewsunker.  The it’s DUE (Develop, Unite & Empower) Women & Leadership in Engineering, Infrastructure and Innovation conference takes place on 22 & 23 February 2023, at the Lord Charles Hotel in Somerset West in the Western Cape.

Organisations speaking include: Department of Public Works & Infrastructure, Square Kilometre Array Organisation, Transnet Freight Rail, PM Aviation, MPAMOT, EXXARO, DBSA, Freeport Saldanha IDZ, Grinaker-LTA, Armscor Dockyard, Department of COGTA, Krypton Mining and WiMSA.

Fourteen women in top leadership positions across these sectors will share their leadership journey, spark interest in STEM careers but also look at solutions to ensure women are retained in these male-domitated sectors.   To ensure that women are talking business and gain more opportunities, free exhibitions will be offered to organisations who register a group of women, showcasing current opportunities for women in these sectors as well as attract talent.

To promote further networking and relaxation after the conference, De Grendel Wines will be hosting a wine tasting at the beautiful Lord Charles Hotel in Somerset West.  Each delegate will also receive a Ncgura spa hamper which is locally manufactured.

The conference will also fiercely tackle gender based violence plaguing South Africa today, therefore 10% of the profits will be donated to the SURVIVOR EXIT FOUNDATION in their fight against sexual exploitation and violence.

Organisations are still investing time and money in grooming future women-leaders in STEM fields and if you are one of them, be sure to request a conference programme.

Pinpoint Stewards have over 20 years’ experience in training and conferencing, is 100% women-owned as well as being a Level 2 B-BBEE company and CSD compliant. It’s DUE and we hope to see you soon! Contact us today to reserve your seat info@pinpointstewards.co.za
