Finance Minister Tito Mboweni has reappointed Mark Kingon acting commissioner of the South African Revenue Service (Sars) for a further 90 days to June 11.

Kingon will remain in service until June 11 or until President Cyril Ramaphosa appoints a new Sars commissioner.

Legislation empowers the Finance Minister to appoint an acting commissioner, while it empowers the President to appoint a permanent commissioner.
