There are no scheduled power outages for Monday, Eskom said.

Spokesperson Khulu Phasiwe said Eskom expected the power grid to remain "moderate" throughout the day.

"If we lose any of our generators however, we may be forced to implement load shedding," he said.

There was a medium to high risk of this happening.

Phasiwe urged the public to use electricity sparingly and keep nonessential appliances and lights off.
