JSE-listed Mantengu’s 70%-owned subsidiary Blue Ridge Platinum has entered into a life-of-mine chrome concentrate supply agreement with Monteagle International.

In terms of the supply agreement, Blue Ridge has agreed to deliver, and Monteagle has agreed to buy, a minimum of 300 000 dry metric tonnes at a rate of 10 000 dry metric tonnes a month.

The product will be a 40% to 42% chrome concentrate and will be sold on a cost, insurance and freight basis using the published market price by FerroAlloyNet.com.

The approximate price at the time of Mantengu’s announcement is $280/t.

Blue Ridge expects deliveries will begin during the first half of the 2026 calendar year after a four-month period for the building of a new chrome plant, says Mantengu.

Monteagle is an investment company which holds a diversified range of investments.

Monteagle, together with its subsidiaries, holds substantial listed equity investments, and provides procurement, logistics and marketing in hard and soft commodities, as well as trade finance services.
