Astron Energy nears rebrand completion with 700th site milestone
Petroleum supplier Astron Energy has unveiled its seven hundredth site in Villiersdorp, in the Western Cape.
The company highlights that this milestone builds on the progress made since the launch of this programme in 2022 and reflects the dedication of teams across the business, as well as strong collaboration with retail partners and all other stakeholders, adding that the initiative is one of the “most significant transformations in South Africa’s fuel industry in over three decades”.
Astron Energy operates the country’s second-largest petroleum retail network, with more than 800 service stations nationwide.
Astron Energy retail and marketing GM John Bailey said the milestone reflects strong progress against an ambitious national rollout.
“We are thrilled to celebrate reaching nearly 90% of our network, signalling that the programme is approaching completion.
“Rebranding 700 sites has been a significant undertaking. As we near completion, our focus remains on maintaining the highest safety and quality standards, while delivering a seamless and consistent customer experience across our network,” Bailey says.
The Villiersdorp retailer welcomed the milestone, noting the positive impact of the refreshed brand on the local community.
“We are proud to bring Astron Energy’s new identity to Villiersdorp and remain committed to making every customer visit a positive experience,” said Villersdorp cooperative CEO Ben Klindt.
