Bill Venter steps down from Altron board

Allied Electronics (Altron) founder Dr Bill Venter, has retires as nonexecutive director of the board.

His retirement became effective on July 31.

In a statement, the board on thanked Venter for the important and central role he played in the development of the South African electronics industry and the South African economy as a whole.
