Regulatory approvals for Beatrix 4 Shaft acquisition extended by six monthsNeo Energy Metals and Sibanye-Stillwater have extended the deadline for South Africa's Department of Mineral and Petroleum Resources to approve the carve-out of the Beatrix 4 Shaft mining right to December, with the transfer approval deadline now pushed to June 2027. CEO Theo Botoulas says engagement with the department is constructive, with no substantive objections, and the company's December 2027 first production target at the New Beisa uranium and gold project remains unchanged.
Henkries mining right application accepted for evaluationThe mining right application for Neo Energy's Henkries uranium project in the Northern Cape has been accepted by the Department of Mineral and Petroleum Resources for processing and evaluation, with a decision required within 300 days. The company must submit documentation confirming its 30% black economic empowerment shareholding structure within 60 days as a condition of acceptance.
