A locally developed technology platform aims to help organisations ensure tighter control over keys, vehicles, assets and safety-critical operating processes.

At the centre of the product range from Simpology Group, is SIMSAFE Digital Key Management, a flexible key-control system designed for use across multiple industries and business sizes. The system is available as cabinet enclosures or wall-mounted key racks and can be scaled from small installations to systems managing thousands of keys or locks. The cabinets support controlled access through PIN codes, QR codes, access cards, biometrics and i-Button readers, enabling companies to restrict and monitor who may access specific keys.

The system is aimed at applications such as building access, vehicle key control, lock-out/tag-out procedures, critical valve lock-out, facility management and asset maintenance management. It is administered through CREONE’s KeyWin cloud service, which records activities, events and user actions to provide full traceability. This gives users an auditable record of key movements, while also supporting real-time notifications and standard user reports.

Standard cabinet capacities range from 56 keys per cabinet to 196 keys per cabinet, with expandable strips and additional cabinets available. Features include galvanised mild-steel frames, steel or Plexiglass doors, door locks capable of withstanding significant pulling force, a single controller for large numbers of key positions and battery backup. Optional features include stainless-steel cabinets, IP65-rated enclosures, steel mesh or Plexiglass doors and integration with other business systems. The cabinets are designed for use in a range of industrial and operational environments.

The company’s vehicle management system (VMS) offers a configurable solution for vehicle key management, control, and compliance with legal and insurance requirements. The system supports production scheduling, maintenance scheduling, maintenance management, vehicle bookings, reporting and dashboards.

Built on Simpology’s OpVANT business process automation platform, the VMS allows companies to configure workflows with multi-level user access, process-step approvals, remote authorisations and electronic notifications.

Features of the system include vehicle licence management, user access control based on medical, induction and licence requirements, an emergency E-Stop function, auditable manual key hand-over processes and configurable authorisation levels. The VMS can integrate with various information technology platforms, access-control systems, vehicle condition-monitoring systems, asset-management platforms and maintenance-management systems.

SIMSAFE is designed, assembled and manufactured in South Africa and products are backed by a 12-month warranty.

Simpology Group invites clients to view its digital lock-out systems, key management, vehicle management, and smart locker solutions at its exhibition stand at the upcoming Electra Mining Africa expo.
