Project Description
The project forms part of a broader programme to modernise the SS106 corridor and improve road safety, traffic flow and regional connectivity.
The upgrade involves the upgrading and redevelopment of Lot 1 of the SS106 Jonica state road.
The contract covers the construction of about 17 km of new roadway infrastructure. Works include the development of 15 viaducts, three overpasses and a 1.4 km twin-tube artificial tunnel.
Construction activities will incorporate digital monitoring systems and advanced engineering solutions aimed at improving operational efficiency and environmental performance.
Potential Job Creation
The project is expected to employ up to about 500 workers during construction.

About €531-million.
