Project Description
The project involves the construction of a gas treatment complex, including infrastructure to collect raw gas at four different gasfields, namely the Rhourde Nouss Central, Rhourde Nouss South/East, Rhourde Adra and Rhourde Adra South oilfields; a natural gas processing facility and a facility to process and reinject carbon dioxide into gasfields. Once in operation, the facilities will produce and process 3,5-billion cubic metres of natural gas a year.

The value of the engineering, procurement and construction contract is estimated at €785,5-million.
Duration
The facilities are expected to be completed in 36 months.

Latest Developments
SNC-Lavalin has been awarded an EPC contract to design and build natural gas process facilities in the Sahara desert about 1 200 km south-east of Algiers.
Work is expected to begin immediately at the Rhourde Nouss Central, Rhourde Nouss South/East, Rhourde Adra and Rhourde Adra South oilfields.
