The Airports Company South Africa (ACSA) has urged people planning to fly to or from Cape Town International Airport (CTIA) or George Airport to check with it, or their airlines, for any disruptions, delays or even cancellations, of their flights. This is due to bad weather at both Cape Town and George.

ACSA stressed that both CTIA and George Airport were open and operational. But the inclement weather was affecting flights.

Operations at both airports are being closely monitored. Flights that required diverting did have alternative airports, which were able to accommodate them, to go to.

State-owned ACSA operates nine airports across the country, including all but one of South Africa’s international airports.
