Sun International

Sun International is a South African hospitality and gaming group that operates hotels, resorts and casinos across Africa and Latin America. The company is headquartered in Cape Town and is listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange. Sun International's portfolio includes flagship properties such as Sun City in North West province, the Table Bay Hotel in Cape Town, and the Maslow Hotel in Sandton. The group operates gaming facilities, accommodation, restaurants, conference venues and entertainment attractions across its properties. Sun International has expanded beyond South Africa into markets including Nigeria, Botswana, Namibia, Eswatini, Zambia, Uganda, Kenya, Nigeria, Chile and Panama. The company employs several thousand people across its operations and generates annual revenue in the billions of rand. Sun International has increasingly focused on sustainability initiatives, including renewable energy projects at its properties to reduce reliance on grid electricity. The company was founded in 1969 by Sol Kerzner and has grown to become one of Africa's leading hospitality and gaming operators, with Sun City remaining its most iconic property.
