Aim-listed Jubilee Metals has resumed run-of-mine deliveries from its Molefe mine to the Sable refinery in Zambia following successful expansion of Pit 2 under an updated mine plan combining pits 2 and 3. CEO Leon Coetzer says deliveries will increase to a targeted 6 000 t a month in June, stepping up to 8 500 t a month by August and reaching 10 000 t a month by October, equating to more than a 100% increase in run-of-mine deliveries to Sable.
Roan concentrator returns to full capacity after maintenance shutdownThe yearly maintenance shutdown at Jubilee's Roan concentrator in Ndola was completed in May, with operations resuming at full capacity and a run-of-mine throughput target of 30 000 t a month. Coetzer says the company used the scheduled downtime to implement key interventions to counter the sharp rise in global fuel and acid prices, including expansion of the copper oxide recovery circuit to improve copper efficiencies by a targeted 5%.
