Leon Coetzer

Leon Coetzer is a mining executive associated with Jubilee Metals Group, a diversified metals recovery company with operations across southern Africa. He has been involved in the company's copper processing activities in Zambia, where Jubilee operates the Roan Concentrator facility. The Roan operation processes copper tailings and produces copper cathode, a refined form of copper used in electrical and industrial applications. Coetzer's role has encompassed operational oversight and strategic development of Jubilee's copper assets in the Zambian Copperbelt region. His work sits within the broader context of Jubilee's business model, which focuses on reprocessing mine tailings and waste materials to extract residual metals. The Zambian copper operations represent a significant component of Jubilee's portfolio alongside its platinum-group metals and chrome recovery projects in South Africa. Coetzer's involvement reflects the company's expansion into base metals processing and its strategy of leveraging existing mining infrastructure to generate revenue from previously discarded materials. His career trajectory aligns with the growing emphasis on resource efficiency and secondary metal recovery in the African mining sector.
