Tourism Equity Fund Announced

The Tourism Equity Fund (TEF) is a collaborative initiative between the Department of Tourism and the Small Enterprise Finance Agency (SEFA) and was announced by national government on 26 January 2021.

The fund aims to drive transformation through advancing equitable opportunities to ensure inclusive economic growth in the Tourism sector as an integral element of the implementation of South Africa’s Economic Reconstruction and Recovery Plan.

The implementation of the plan is supported by a few priority initiatives, one of which is support for the recovery and growth of the tourism, cultural and creative industries.
