Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone) projects.

Location
West Qantara Industrial Area, East Ismailia Industrial Zone and Sokhna Industrial Zone, in Egypt.

General Authority of the SCZone.

Project Description
The board of directors of the General Authority of the SCZone has approved a series of projects, with international partners, in manufacturing, green hydrogen and water desalination.

The approved projects include:

  • a steel complex, which will be built on 750 000 m2, with a capacity of 600 000 t/y of steel coils.
  • a clothing manufacturing factory on 80 000 m2. The project will be completed in two phases. The factory is expected to produce 43-million pieces a year.
  • a steel factory on 400 000 m2. The factory will be built in three phases, with a production capacity of 1.8-million tons of steel products a year.
  • the construction of a tyre manufacturing project on 400 000 m2, with a production capacity of 2.4-million units a year.
  • a raw materials storage area.
