MTN raises $1bn

Telecommunications giant MTN has raised $1-billion in two dollar bonds.

It announced, late on Thursday, the pricing of $500-million five-year and a $500-million ten-year notes, that mature in February 2022 and October 2026 respectively.

The proceeds will be used for capital expenditure, to pay down working capital facilities and general corporate purposes.
