Evolution Mining

Evolution Mining is an Australian gold mining company that operates multiple mines across Australia and Canada. The company is headquartered in Sydney, New South Wales, and is listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) under the ticker code EVN. Evolution Mining's portfolio includes several significant gold operations, with key assets including the Cowal gold mine in New South Wales, the Ernest Henry copper-gold mine in Queensland, and the Red Lake gold mine in Ontario, Canada. The company was formed in 2011 through the merger of Catalpa Resources and Conquest Mining, and has since grown through strategic acquisitions to become one of Australia's leading gold producers. Evolution Mining produces several hundred thousand ounces of gold annually, positioning it as a mid-tier gold producer with a focus on operational efficiency and mine life extension. The company employs thousands of people across its operations and maintains a strategy centred on maximising returns from its existing asset base while pursuing value-accretive growth opportunities. Evolution Mining has expanded its footprint through notable acquisitions, including the purchase of assets from Newcrest Mining and other transactions that have strengthened its production profile. The company's operations span both underground and open-pit mining methods, with processing facilities designed to extract gold and associated metals from ore bodies. Evolution Mining continues to invest in exploration and development activities to extend mine lives and discover new resources within its tenement holdings.
