Zutari appoints maritime, rail veteran Lutchman as MD of transport

Consulting engineering and infrastructure advisory firm Zutari has appointed Vishaal Lutchman MD of transport, effective April 1.

Lutchman previously served as CEO of South African Institution of Civil Engineering (Saice), steering the organisation through various challenges within the organisation, the industry and the country, Zutari reports.

Lutchman brings to Zutari more than 22 years of experience in leadership and management of businesses related to infrastructure development – mainly within the maritime and rail disciplines.

Before his time at Saice, he was a director of maritime, aviation and rail at consultancy WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, as well as director of maritime and freight at Royal HaskoningDHV.

Lutchman is well versed in providing advisory and consultancy services for infrastructure projects in Africa, having worked in South, East and West Africa.

Zutari in a press release relayed its confidence in Lutchman’s ability to bring innovative thinking and strong leadership to the constancy’s critical projects.

He will be based in Tshwane and be part of the Zutari executive committee.
