PERTH (miningweekly.com) – ASX-listed independent power producer Zenith Energy has completed and fully commissioned a 6 MW build-own-operate power station expansion at gold miner Northern Star Resources’ Jundee project, in Western Australia.
The capacity expansion adds to the existing 19.2 MW capacity.
“We are proud to continue our partnership with Northern Star Resources at Jundee through the delivery of the Jundee expansion project, and now look forward to delivering additional, reliable, cost effective power to support the Jundee gold mine,” said Zenith MD Hamish Moffat.
The 1.8-million-tonne-a-year Jundee operation recovered some 70 154 oz of gold in the March quarter.
