The E-center is a portable device used to provide command and dispatch services in the field.
An integrated emergency communication solution that provides on-site voice communication and helps to establish an on-site command and control centre, provides an essential tool for firefighters.
The Hytera integrated communication solution provides various aspects of on-site emergency communication.
Aboveground Area Network Coverage
- Firefighters are able to carry and deploy a digital wireless ad-hoc repeater E-pack. The battery button is pressed to power on the device to ensure signal coverage and device inter-connection, forming a unified voice communication network.
- The E-pack supports real-time locating, with a coverage range of more than 10 km and up to 31 devices cascaded.
- On-site rescue workers can also make use of iMesh broadband network devices to deploy on-site broadband transmission. The devices form networks within a minute of being powered on and one device is able to cover up to 32 nodes. In addition, the device can be linked to multi-mode radios, body-cameras or video cameras to transmit real-time on-site images to a command centre.
Underground Area Network Coverage
- An E-pack can be deployed at an underground entrance to ensure network coverage and voice communication between underground and above-ground sites, especially where network signals are blocked owing to the presence of underground steel and concrete structures.
On-site Command and Control Centre
- Multiple E-pack devices can be used to form a communication network to provide voice communication for firefighters in the field.
- Multiple iMesh devices can be used to provide broadband links used to transmit images and videos in real-time to give accurate information to central decision-makers.
- Both voice and video data can be transmitted to the on-site command centre or E-center, which features three screens to simultaneously display maps, voice dispatch information and video surveillance imagery.
- Commanders can use the information to control on-site rescue-worker distribution, monitor on-site videos, command and dispatch rescue groups, allocate resources and adjust operation solutions.
- The E-center can transmit on-site information to the remote command centre to help monitor and control the progress of on-site rescue and to allocate resources in time, ensuring a cascaded command structure.
